Afentis Christ Malia

The island of Afentis Christ is located near the northern coast of Crete. It was named after the homonymous chapel of Afente Christ or Metamorphosis of the Savior, which is located on the island and celebrates on 6 August. The island is only a short distance from Malia and very close to the island of Agia Varvara (Yalouri Island). The Lord Christ belongs to Malia and the prefecture of Heraklion. The islet has an area of 4.400 sq.m.
