The Waterfalls Edessa

The waterfalls Edessa are located on the edge of a rock in a unique geopark made of the water called the ‘eyebrow of the city’ with 11 waterfalls. The two are large, visible, inviting and offer a unique atmosphere of the power of nature, creating the myth of the water state.

The Geopark of Cataractes extends over an area of ​​more than 100,000sqm and on a rock path for 1.1km (From Xenia & Varosi, Water Museum, Cataract Park to Ano Estia). Very close to the city center is the main attraction for visitors and one of the most important sights in Greece. Here waterfalls Park offers open recreation and meeting facilities for everyone.
The area is accessible by stairs that lead to several points even under the Waterfalls.
