Chrysi Akti Beach

Chrysi Akti Beach or else Divari in western Messinia is just 10 minutes from Pylos. It is a stunning 4 km Long Beach that reaches Palaiokastro. It is paved with fine sand and offers the ultimate view of the Navarino Bay, Pylos and Sphakteria Island. Its waters are clear, crystal clear and turquoise, allowing you to see the sandy bottom deep. Golden Beach is a protected area and an oasis of tranquility as it is not organized with sun loungers, umbrellas, beach bars. During summer, it is very likely that you will also find caretta-caretta turtles coming out on the coast for their spawning. Shortly before Golden Beach you will find camping. If you carefully cross the barren shrubs that cover the dunes, you can head to the Gialova Lagoon to admire the enchanting scenery of the most important wetland in southern Greece with rare migratory birds and other rare species. To reach Chrisi Akti, starting from Pylos, you will follow the road to Gialova and after passing through the village you follow the signs to Chryssi Akti Beach. After passing through a quiet, full of reeds and trees, you will see the beautiful beach spread out on your left and you will see the lagoon right through the shrubs and the reeds.
