Mausoleum of Gazi Evrenos

An important Bei and Ottoman history strategist, Gazis Evrenos, died on 17 November 1417 and was buried in this mausoleum, which became a place of pilgrimage for the Muslims of the Ottoman Empire. At the same time, it also functioned as a place of prayer, a common Islamic practice in the mausoleum of important persons to whom the attributes of holiness were attributed.

The Mausoleum of Gazi Evrenos located at the junction of two roads, a short distance from the Clock Tower in Giannitsa City. This is the tomb of Gazi Evrenos of Ottoman person who won Giannitsa by the Byzantines, and most of central Macedonia.
