Panagia Spiliani Monastery

Panagia Spiliani Monastery was built in the 14th century, in the cave of the castle in Mandraki. The monastery is located on a cliff with a height of 150 meters. According to the legend, a shepherd found a small icon of the Virgin Mary in a cave. He brought it to the monastery of Potamitis. The next day, they discovered that the icon was missing from the place and was in the same place where the shepherd found it. At this place it was decided to build a monastery in honor of the Virgin Mary.
