Porto Koufo Chalkidiki

Porto Koufo is a bay where it is a natural small port from South to North. It is located in the Toroneos Gulf despite the south-west end of Sithonia in Halkidiki.

Porto Koufo is the biggest and safest natural harbour in Greece. Porto Koufo offers a calm mooring for fishing boats and yachts in all weathers.

It is noted that the entrance to Porto Koufo Bay is not discernible. For this reason there are two beacons at the entrance. It is the “deaf port” of the ancient Greeks, as Thucydides mentions, because if you stand in the bay, there is no sound of the sea.

While scuba-diving explore the underwater cave “Erica” and admire the old iron Turkish pirate shipwreck. The sea depth ranges from 10 to 35 meters
