Saint Therapon church of Mytilene

Saint Therapon is an amazing church located in the center of Mytilene. Saint Therapon church stands out on either side of the city. It is a 19 th century Byzantine style constructure. Strong Gothic figures highlight the outer part of the church. Until 1850, a smaller church was in this place, in order to offer hospital and patient services. Metropolitan of Mytilene Kallinikos envisioned the erection of the new temple. The work was undertaken by Argyris Adalis and Ernst Zilller’s student.
