Sarakiniko Beach

Sarakiniko is a uniquely beautiful place to enjoy the sea and your swim. The landscape resembles to a lunar since it lacks any trace of vegetation and the volcanic rocks which have been formed are plain white. The name derives from the Saracene pirates who used this area as a base.
If you look around carefully you might see some bollards for their ships. In Sarakiniko you will find a small beach for the sand lovers but most of all beautiful rocks for spreading out your towel and diving into the crystal clear waters. For those who like to observe the seabed we suggest them to bring alomg their equipment in order to enjoy its beauty in this particular area. The beach is not organized. Avoid visiting this beach when there are strong north winds.
