The church of Pantokratora

The church of Pantokratora  in Lefkada is one of the most important sights of the island. A sight with big history. The church was built in 1869. It is located to the centre of the capital’s market and it belonged to Valaoritis family. The church attracts people from all over the world due its masterpieces and its unique hagiographies.

The graves of the national poet Aristotelis  Valaoritis and of others distinguished citizens of Lefkada lay at the back of the church.
