The Shoe Museum, located in the picturesque village of Kastania in Karditsa, was founded in 1910. The museum founder Anthony Kogias was an excellent shoemaker and popular for his art and taste beyond the borders of Thessaly. His son Evangelos, wanting to continue his father’s work, began collecting tools useful in his work and collecting footwear from all over the world.
