Serifos proudly adorns the deep blue Aegean Sea with its Cycladic picturesque landscape. It is located between Kythnos and Sifnos, surrounded by small springs. The capital of the island is Chora, which is built at an altitude of 200 m. The port is Livadi, while other large settlements are Koutalas, Megalo Livadi and Kentarhos. His inventory (2011) had a population of 1,420 people. Easy access from the nearby Cycladic Islands (Milos, Kimolos, Paros, Syros) and its short distance from Athens make it a favorite port of many sailing boats and sailing boats every year, while passing through the island and the International Sailing Rally of the Aegean.
Close to the island there are three small islands: Piperi in the north, Serifopoula northeast and ‘’Vous’’ east. The latter takes its name from its appearance because it looks like an ox.
The Taxiarches Monastery is located near the village of Galani, and is of great architectural interest
The monastery is dedicated to Archangels Michael and Gabriel, who are also patrons of the island.
